Vice President of Finance
As VP of Finance, serving major U.S. political organizations and world class non-profit institutions you will be responsible for managing day-to-day affairs of Finance Department, you will participate fully as a member of senior management in strategic planning, and must be able to effectively represent the company with investors, banks and investment advisors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and direct all aspects of financial planning process with goal of improving overall financial performance; proactively suggest and implement business process improvements.
- Assist the VP of Sales in the establishment of financial goals and objectives for company.
- Develop and maintain three–five year plans, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and rolling twelve month forecast.
- Report on financial results and key metrics against appropriate base comparisons (prior year, budget, forecast); perform in-depth analysis to prepare and present business projections and deviations from plan.
- Create reporting packages for executive and departmental management.
- Develop tools to measure productivity and profitability across business segments, including distribution and programming channel analysis.
- Direct the development and maintenance of planning and budgeting systems; lead process of evaluating various budgeting software packages to streamline monthly variance reporting process.
- Hold monthly reviews of budget vs. actual with department heads and senior management.
- Provide ad hoc analysis for new initiatives and other special projects.
Job Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting and/or finance, CPA and/or MBA.
- 4-6 years experience in a financial role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong communications skills.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
